Julia is an original member of David Touchton's Nowhere Band. Julia Schulze was born and raised in Austin, TX. She got her start in music at age 6 with piano lessons and continued for 10 years. At age 12 she began playing percussion in her school band and fell in love with drumming. After years of playing rock 'n roll, Julia made the switch to old-school country. She met David and George in April of 2016 and is proud to be an original member of The Nowhere Band. When she isn't playing music Julia enjoys eating grilled cheese sandwiches and petting dogs.

Ment Morris is a player, student, and teacher of his art. He has been playing guitar for ten years (banjo for 5 years) in Austin, Texas. From playing in local bars to playing in church worship bands to supporting community benefits, he wants to use the talents he has been given. To that end, Redd Volkaert became his teacher and mentor over two years ago and has helped him grow tremendously as a player and a presence in the Austin music scene.

Raised by his grandfather, Peck Touchton, who was a honky-tonker in his younger years, and his loving grandmother Jeannine, David grew up with the honesty and simplicity of old-school country music and blues. Throughout his life, David's love of music grew to include nearly every genre and his style is heavily influenced by greats such as Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Steve Earle, Ray Wylie Hubbard, George Jones, along with blues men such as Muddy Waters, Son House, Howlin' Wolf and many others.
David lives in Austin, Texas and plays in and around town most days of the week, either solo, or accompanied by his Nowhere Band.


Mike "Porkchop" Jackson was born in Houston and has lived his entire life in Texas. He began playing fiddle at age 10  and has since played in bars all across Texas, The Irving Philharmonic Orchestra, First Presbyterian Church of Livingston, and many more. Mike also plays the mandolin, Irish tenor banjo, piano, and guitar along with writing and singing his own songs. Along with that Mike also gives violin lessons.


George is an original member of David Touchton's Nowhere Band. George Schinler grew up in Wilmette, Il. absorbing Chicago’s rich history of blues music.  As a teenager he began studying under the legendary blues guitarist Brewer Phillips.  He moved to Austin, TX in 1999 and continues to play with, record & produce local artist.  He joined David Touchton’s Nowhere Band in May of 2016.
